With the Seek, Giant presents a new road bike especially for young up-and-coming cyclists. The model is characterised by 650b wheels and other special features. With youth-appropriate components and customisable geometry, the Seek is designed to offer the typical road bike riding experience for young riders too.
The Seek was developed for riders between 130 and 150 centimetres tall. The focus is on a lightweight frame made of ALUXX aluminium, which is combined with a carbon fork. Both components have been optimised for use with 650b wheels. Giant states that the Seek should give young riders a similar riding experience in terms of speed, efficiency and control as adult racing bikes.
The tubes of the aluminium frame are reduced in diameter. The geometry has been specially designed for riders between 130 and 150 centimetres tall and, according to the table, corresponds to that of the Seek from Liv. According to Giant, the fork caster and head tube angle are designed to offer balanced control with fast and precise cornering agility. A lower bottom bracket should ensure a lower centre of gravity and therefore stable, responsive handling. The frame offers tyre clearance for widths of up to 37 millimetres, which opens up additional application possibilities for the Seek on gravel and dirt tracks.
When developing the Seek, Giant paid particular attention to youth-orientated ergonomics. The Giant Contact SL Lite handlebars have a shorter reach of 62 millimetres and smaller drops of 100 millimetres than typical adult handlebars. One special feature is the brake levers, which have been specially developed for smaller hands. According to the manufacturer, they have a 35 per cent shorter reach from the drops and a 30 per cent shorter reach from the hoods. The outer diameter of the grip body is 20 per cent smaller and the flared shape of the lever is intended to improve ergonomics for small hands.
According to the table, the geometry of the Giant Seek is the same as that of the Liv Seek.

| Top tube length | 427 mm |
| Head tube length | 88 mm |
| Head tube angle | 70,6° |
| Fork advance | 55 mm |
| Trail | 59.1 mm |
| Wheelbase | 918.1 mm |
| Chainstay length | 400 mm |
| Bottom bracket lowering | 75 mm |
| Strack | 476.5 mm |
| Reach | 325.5 mm |
| Protrusion height | 610 mm |
| Handlebar width | 320 mm |
| Stem length | 60 mm |
| Crank length | 130 mm |
| Wheel size | 650b |
A highlight of the equipment are the in-house carbon wheels with 650b rims, which are specified on the top model. The drivetrain offers a shorter 130 millimetre crank and a lower gear ratio than is usual for racing bikes. This should help young riders to climb efficiently, accelerate and ride at a higher cadence. All Seek models are equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), which ensures compatibility with different gears and drive systems.
Giant has developed a special linear braking curve for the Seek. This has been tuned so that it works with less leverage and offers better control for young riders with a lower body weight and less grip strength. The Giant Grit Core Lite saddle was also specially designed for young riders. With a narrow width of 125 millimetres, it is designed to offer an optimal riding position and comfort for longer rides.
A special feature of the Seek is its easy adaptability to the growth of young riders. The seatpost is marked with a body height index to make it easier to adjust the saddle height. These markings are based on research results and body measurement data that Giant has collected since 2008. All Seek models have a 1X drive with electronic shifting, which should make it easier to operate the gears. According to the manufacturer, the top model Seek 1 weighs 7.4 kilograms.
