TOUR test underwear: Rapha base layer vest 2015
There are some things you just don't want to take off. In cold weather, this includes the winter base layer vest made of merino wool from Rapha.
The weight of just over 220 grams (size M) indicates that the fluffy base layer with high collar keeps you nice and warm. The shirt is pleasant and comfortable to wear, and thanks to the merino wool it absorbs virtually no odour compared to synthetic fibre shirts. However, it does not wick sweat as well as polyamide or blended fabrics. The shirt is a good insulator under a softshell jacket.
