Ergon, the Koblenz-based ergonomics specialist, is completing its SR Allroad saddle series for gravel and all-road bikes. After Ergon launched the affordable basic model SR Allroad Men last year, the SR Allroad Comp, SR Allroad Pro and SR Allroad Pro Carbon models have now been added. All saddles are available in both men's and women's versions with a gender-specific optimised relief surface. Each model is available in sizes S/M and M/L to cover different sit bone distances.
According to the manufacturer, the SR Allroad series has been optimised to meet the ergonomic requirements of gravel and all-road riding, especially for long days in the saddle. Whether on extensive bikepacking adventures or sporty gravel tours - the models are designed to effectively prevent seat discomfort such as pressure points and numbness. How? Thanks to the compact saddle shape, a wide, gender-specific relief channel and optimised padding (Orthopedic Comfort Foam). A wide leg cut-out and glide flanks should also allow more freedom of movement, more economical pedalling and more efficient power transmission.
The SR Allroad series now comprises a total of four model variants: SR Allroad, SR Allroad Comp, SR Allroad Pro and SR Allroad Pro Carbon. All models are available in men's and women's versions. The sizes S/M (sit bone distance 9-12 cm) and M/L (sit bone distance 12-16 cm) are designed to provide an optimum fit for different body sizes. According to Ergon, all saddles are manufactured in Europe, which stands for precision and quality at the highest level.
The basic model, the SR Allroad Men and Women, is available for 89.95 euros. The SR Allroad Comp Men and Women costs 109.95 euros, the SR Allroad Pro Men and Women is priced at 129.95 euros, while the top-of-the-range SR Allroad Pro Carbon Men and Women costs 199.95 euros.
