Christoph Strasser is aiming for his third victory in the Transcontinental Race. Strasser set off from Trondheim on 19 July and immediately found his rhythm. 367 participants are cycling 4,800 kilometres and climbing 50,000 metres in elevation from Norway to Greece. Robin Gemperle leads the field by a narrow margin. Strasser struggled on the first night with temperatures around 0 degrees and a lack of cold-weather clothing.
