In the 2026 season, tyre manufacturer Continental is organising two series of events for gravel riders together with the Gravel Club and the grouprides.cc platform. Both formats combine rides with competitions and are designed to strengthen the community.
The Continental Gravel Club Tour will be travelling to twelve locations in Germany from April to October. The tour kicks off on 25 April in Hanover. Each stop offers a two-day programme with after-work rides on Friday and community rides on Saturday. The route runs through various gravel regions and includes stops in Cologne, Munich and Berlin. The finale will take place on 10 October at the Contidrom, Continental's test track north of Hanover. The events focus on relaxed group rides without a competitive character. After the rides, there will be refreshments and an opportunity to chat. All participants with a regular tour ticket will be entered into a prize draw. The main prize is a trip for two to the 2027 Tour de France finale in Paris with VIP access.
Participation in the Gravel Club Tour costs 37 euros. The ticket price includes refreshments at the start (coffee and croissant), a hot meal at the finish, drinks and refreshments on the route provided by partner Squeezy. Participants will also receive a goodie bag and GPX data of the planned routes in advance. Two different gravel routes are planned for each event date, which have been tested in advance. Participants can optionally join guided groups. The routes will lead through various regions of Germany and will include local field and forest paths as well as side roads with little traffic.
The tour starts and ends in Hanover. Here are all the dates of the series:
The "Lead in the Unknown" challenge on the grouprides.cc platform runs in parallel to the tour. The series is aimed at gravel riders throughout Europe and includes rides in cities such as Braunschweig, Stuttgart and Vienna. Anyone who books and rides any four rides via grouprides.cc is automatically entered into the competition. Continental is giving away four signed and framed Tadej Pogačar jerseys as the main prize. The challenge accompanies the market launch of the Continental Terra Competition, a gravel tyre for high-performance use.
