Innsbruck has been a stage location for various major cycling races over 30 times - be it the Tour of the Alps or the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. The 2018 World Cycling Championships are not only remembered for their exciting cycling races, but also for the beautiful television images: the picturesque old town and the impressive mountain backdrop are inextricably linked with the Tyrolean capital. You couldn't wish for a better stage location for the start of the TOUR-Transalp - especially due to its easy accessibility.
According to the plan, Kühtai is the only major stage on the first leg of the TOUR Transalp. Experienced Transalp starters know that you still have to be careful with your strength. Seven stages are long and there are still major challenges to come: Stilfser Joch, Mortirolo, Pillerhöhe, Passo del Vivione or Passo Crocedominio are on the programme this year Programme.
The TOUR Transalp starts on 15 June and ends after seven stages on 21 June in Riva del Garda. The stage race for teams of two and individual starters offers timekeeping, refreshments along the route and at the finish, luggage transport from the start to the finish and a technical service. Overnight accommodation in the Transalp Camp or a hotel package can be booked as an option.
