At Eurobike 2025, Italian manufacturer Elite is presenting the Rivo, a new smart roller trainer aimed specifically at beginners to indoor training. According to Elite, the compact device combines all the important functions for effective training within your own four walls. The Rivo calculates the power output with an accuracy of plus/minus 2.5 per cent and automatically controls the resistance up to a simulated incline of 18 per cent. The trainer can be connected to popular training apps such as Zwift or TrainerRoad via Bluetooth and WLAN. With a weight of 10 kilograms and an integrated carrying handle, the Rivo is easy to transport and can be stowed away to save space. The low-noise operation enables concentrated training without noise pollution. The roller trainer is compatible with bicycles that have 9 to 12 gears.
The connectivity of the Rivo includes integrated WLAN for stable data transmission and automatic firmware updates as well as dual Bluetooth for the parallel connection of several devices. A bridge function for Bluetooth heart rate and cadence sensors enables the integration of this data. Two stand-alone modes allow training even without a power supply or app connection. The scope of delivery includes 12 months' free access to Elite's own My E-Training app for training control and analysis. According to Elite, the non-binding retail price for the standard version of the Rivo is less than 500 euros.
In addition to the standard version, Elite also offers the Rivo as a Zwift Ready version. This also includes the Zwift Cog and Zwift Click. The Zwift Cog replaces the cassette on the rear wheel and is compatible with most 8- to 12-speed drivetrains. It is designed to make wheel changes easier. The Zwift Click can be attached to any handlebar and enables the shifting of up to 24 virtual gears as well as intuitive control of the resistance in the Zwift app. The Zwift Ready version of the Rivo is therefore ideal for starting directly with the Zwift virtual training platform without having to carry out additional installations. According to Elite, exclusive Zwift offers apply to Zwift Ready models.
The Rivo and the Zwift Ready version with Zwift Cog and Click will be available from specialist retailers from September 2025. The recommended retail price for the Rivo is 499 euros and 519 euros for the Zwift Ready version. Owners of the standard version have the option of retrofitting the trainer with the Zwift Cog & Click Kit. This is available directly from Zwift. With the Rivo, Elite is targeting beginners to indoor training who are looking for a smart and feature-rich roller trainer at a competitive price.
