TOUR has organised Gravel Special 2025 recently subjected 13 current gravel bikes under 2000 euros to an extensive comparison test. All models were tested for their riding characteristics, equipment and versatility. The test showed clear differences in weight, comfort and range of use of the bikes. The five best bikes according to the TOUR evaluation are summarised here.
All bikes are aimed at a wide range of uses, from gravel roads to light off-road terrain and tarmac tours. Nevertheless, the test revealed clear differences in the weight, comfort and specific strengths of the individual models. The equipment of the bikes differs in some details, but all rely on hydraulic disc brakes and tyres with a width of at least 40 millimetres. Shimano 2x12 gears are predominantly used for the drivetrain; among the top five, the Radon and the Cube are equipped with 1x12 gears.
In addition to the riding characteristics, the test also focussed on the versatility of the bikes for different purposes and the price-performance ratio. The Cube Nuroad C:62 One is the only bike with a carbon frame to stand out from the test field. With a total weight of 9.3 kilograms, it is one of the lightest bikes in the comparison. The carbon frame is not only responsible for the low weight, but also for good riding comfort. The Cube conveys a feeling of speed like a road bike, but is also well suited to off-road riding. The riding position is slightly more stretched out than some of its competitors. At a price of € 1999, the Nuroad C:62 One offers very good value for money and secures the top spot.estsincrease.

The Giant Revolt 0 impresses in the test above all with its high level of riding comfort. The extended aluminium seat post with a D-shaped cross-section provides particularly good suspension. The fork and handlebars also contribute to the overall good suspension comfort. With a tyre clearance of up to 53 millimetres, the Giant also offers plenty of potential for off-road use. The riding position is decidedly upright. At 10.1 kilograms, the total weight is in the middle of the test field. A special feature is the FlipChip dropout, which can be used to adjust the wheelbase and thus the riding behaviour.

The Canyon Grizl 7 also scores highly in terms of comfort thanks to its carbon seatpost. The aluminium frame model weighs 10.6 kilograms and offers a sporty, but not too stretched out riding position. The well thought-out equipment with comfortable handlebars and high-quality components should be emphasised. The Canyon Grizl 7 presents itself as a well-balanced all-rounder for sport and travelling. The Scott Speedster Gravel 10 scores points with high directional stability and good equipment.
