The Cyclingworld Europe trade fair heralded the start of the cycling season for the eighth time. In 2026, the trade fair was bigger than ever and there was even an Urban Hub in the city centre. We were there.

Cyclingworld Europe is growing. This year, there will be 8,000 square metres more exhibition space and, for the first time, an Urban Hub at Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz in the city centre will complement the Böhler site. The underground lines U70 and U76 connect both locations in 15 minutes travelling time.

Around 400 exhibitors presented around 500 brands and their innovations in eight halls. Last year there were six halls.

Watch and try out

At the bike fair in Düsseldorf, small and large brands could be found, there were stands by female artists right next to the stands of industry giants such as Canyon, Giant and Cube. Jule Kritzelt's cute stand, for example, was directly opposite Specialized, as in previous years. The big-name component manufacturers were also on site in Düsseldorf: Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM.

Bikes from around 90 brands could be tested in the Demoworld area - from classic bikes and e-bikes to cargo, urban and folding bikes. Test rides were also possible at the Urban Hub on Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz.

Children were able to ride in safe areas, while older children were able to use the obstacle courses. The Puky Kids World was once again set up at the Böhler site, a hall where the youngest children could conquer small obstacles on balance bikes and mini bikes, for example.

Who is the fair for?

  • For people who are looking for a bike, whether gravel bike, cargo bike, racing bike, mountain bike, folding bike, ...
  • Cycling enthusiasts who want to experience cycling and bicycles in all their different facets
  • For people who are still undecided about which bike to buy. There are numerous test opportunities at Cyclingworld.
  • For people who have questions about specific products.
  • For people for whom the supporting programme with rides, races, cinema evening, lectures and more is exciting
  • Still not convinced? Coffee is also available

Arrival and opening hours

The ideal way to get to Cyclingworld was of course by bike, as there were free guarded bike parking spaces again this year. The second best way to get to the Areal Böhler was by public transport. The underground lines U70 and U76 run from the main railway station to the Lörick stop. On Sunday, things were more difficult due to a ver.di strike. The U76 did not run. This was an opportunity for us to visit the Urban Hub off-site location.

Those who wanted or had to travel by car could use the car parks in the surrounding area, which offer a free shuttle service to the trade fair.
