Long wheelbase, plenty of suspension travel on the saddle, mudguard option: the Domane is a long-distance machine par excellence.
The top tube and seat tube of the Domane are connected by a ball-bearing joint. This design gives the frame an unusual vertical flexibility.

This vertical compliance is immediately noticeable when you sit on the saddle. In addition, it is above all the riding position that makes the bike interesting for long-distance riders. No bike in the test allows a higher handlebar position. Not only randonneurs will be pleased with the option of mounting fixed mudguards. With a wheelbase of 1,020 millimetres, the bike offers enough space for such conversions and runs straight as if pulled by a string. The equipment with Ultegra groupset, ergonomic handlebars and a comfortable saddle works perfectly. However, you can expect more from a 3,000 euro bike than the relatively heavy wheels at entry-level.

CONCLUSION Perfect for sporty tours and brevets. Very comfortable riding position, outstanding damping, mudguard option.
