Musste Paris-Roubaix vorzeitig beenden: Peter Sagan.
On his farewell tour through the classics, three-time road cycling world champion Peter Sagan continues to be dogged by bad luck.

Paris-Roubaix 2023: Early exit for Peter Sagan

The former professional of the German team Bora-Hansgrohe had to abandon Paris-Roubaix 2023 injured after the first cobbled sections. Sagan crashed in the first section after a good 95 kilometres. The Slovakian had won Paris-Roubaix 2018.

In the past week, the 33-year-old had already Tour of Flanders prematurely. Sagan was involved in a mass crash that was later disqualified by the Pole Filip Maciejuk (Bahrain-Victorious) due to negligent behaviour. Sagan will end his career on the road at the end of the year. The Slovakian wants to finish his career next year by competing in the mountain bike race at the Olympic Games in Paris.
