Four days after her serious crash at the European Track Cycling Championships in Munich, the Italian Letizia Paternoster has undergone surgery on her collarbone.
As reported by the Italian Cycling Federation via Twitter the 23-year-old underwent surgery in Brescia. The operation was successful, it said.
The world champion in elimination driving was involved in a mass crash in this discipline last Saturday. She suffered a triple fracture of her right collarbone, a traumatic brain injury and abrasions.
