Emma Hinze hat bei den Deutschen Meisterschaften ihren dritten Titel eingefahren.

Emma Hinze from Cottbus has won her third title at the 136th German Track Cycling Championships in Cottbus. The six-time world champion came out on top in the keirin final ahead of Sandra Hainzl (Cottbus) and Katharina Paggel (Nuremberg).

Franziska Brauße from Eningen and Maximilian Dörnbach from Cottbus also won their third titles.

The keirin final was overshadowed by a serious fall, for which the jury held the reigning world and European champion Lea Sophie Friedrich responsible and disqualified the Cottbus rider. Four-time world champion Pauline Grabosch from Cottbus was taken to the Carl Thiem Clinic with a suspected broken elbow and collarbone. Alessa-Catriona Pröpster (Offenbach) and Lara-Sophie Jäger (Erfurt) also had to go to hospital for further observation.

Maximilian Dörnbach from Cottbus also won his third title in the men's sprint. The 27-year-old won the final in two heats against Marc Jurczyk from Erfurt. Nik Schröter from Cottbus came third. In the elimination race, the title went to Franziska Brauße, who thus won her third gold medal in the days of Cottbus.

The pairing of Moritz Malcharek/Moritz Augenstein (Frankfurt/Kempten) surprisingly won the Madison. The duo came out on top with 60 points ahead of the reigning European champions Theo Reinhardt/Roger Kluge (Berlin). Hanna Dopjans from RSV Irschenberg won the women's scratch race.
