Cottbuser Max Kanter switches from Movistar to Astana

The Cottbus professional cyclist Max Kanter is switching from the Spanish team Movistar to the Kazakh team Astana within the World Tour.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract for two years. "This transfer means a lot to me for my development as a rider, but also for the improvement of the team in the sprint area," said the 25-year-old in a statement from the team.

The classics and sprint specialist's greatest successes to date have been two third places on stages of the Tour of Spain.
