Paul Voss will be making his racing debut this year on 14/15 February. The German gravel champion will start at the Santa Vall in Girona, Spain.
Traka, Unbound, World Series: Paul Voß has announced his racing calendar for the first half of the year. Germany's best gravel pro will start the season next week in Spain. Overall, his focus is on the international racing series organised by the UCI cycling world governing body.

While Voß' former colleagues have already opened the road season and have the first races in their legs, the Rostock-born rider is now also getting started. As the German gravel champion announced on social media, he will start the racing season on 14/15 February at the Santa Vall in Girona/Spain. Directly afterwards, Voss will continue with the Castellón Gravel Race (22 February) in Spain.

The event in Llucena marks the start of a block of qualifying races for the World Championships for the former road cycling pro. "I will be (this year, the ed.) focus more on the UCI Gravel World Series races," said Voß: "But of course races like the Traka 200 will continue to be an important part of my early season, especially since I haven't raced there since my victory in 2023."

It is still unclear whether the winner of the mountain jersey at the Tour de France 2016 will also be seen in Germany in the first half of the year. On 19 April, both the Harz Gravel in Wernigerode and the Monaco Gravel will take place as part of the UCI series. The Traka 200, Europe's best-known gravel race in Girona, will take place on 2 May. Voß will also be travelling to the USA to compete in the world's most popular event: The Unbound 200 is scheduled for 30 May.

The official world championships of the UCI cycling organisation will take place Down Under this year. The international title fights will be held on Australia's south-west coast around Nannup from 4 to 11 October.
