All three 2014 German cycling world champions will be coming to the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro on 3 October: Lisa Brennauer, Jonas Bokeloh and Lennard Kämna will be taking part in the amateur race.

Five days after the conclusion of the cycling world championships in Ponferrada, all three new German cycling world champions will start in Münsterland. Lisa Brennauer won gold in the women's time trial and silver in the road race. Jonas Bokeloh won gold in the junior time trial and Lennard Kämna won gold in the junior road race. All three will be at the start of the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro 2014 as guests of honour in the 70-kilometre amateur race.

Brennauer, Bokeloh and Kämna will now receive a well-deserved "Tour d'Honneur" at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro 2014. The trio will ride the 70-kilometre lap around the "Cup of Sparkasse Münsterland Ost" on Friday in the first race with rainbow jerseys. The starting signal for this race will be given at 9.35 am.

John Degenkolb, among others, will be riding in the national team jersey in the pro race on Friday at 11.30 a.m. in Billerbeck. The captain of the national team finished eighth in the men's world championship race.
