Simon Geschke will be competing in the Tour de France for the tenth time. Like his German colleague Max Walscheid, the 36-year-old, who won the mountain stage to Pra-Loup in 2015, is in the line-up of the French Cofidis team.
The team is led by Guillaume Martin from France, who finished eighth in last year's Tour.
The Tour of France starts on Friday in Copenhagen. Geschke impressed with third place at the German championships and is in demand as an experienced helper. Walscheid, who had a serious training accident in March, wants to put himself in the limelight on the flat stages.
