Jumbo festival continues! Laporte redeems the French on stage 19 of the Tour

Laporte outdoes the sprinters

After leaving the Pyrenees, Christophe Laporte won Friday's flat 188.3 kilometre stage between Castelnau-Magnoac and Cahors ahead of Belgian Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and the Italian Alberto Dainese (Team DSM).

There were no changes at the top of the overall standings before the final time trial. Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) successfully defended his yellow jersey and is 3:21 minutes ahead of defending champion Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates).

Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) is third, 8:00 minutes behind. On Saturday the Tour in a time trial over 40.7 kilometres finally decided.
