The German artistic cyclists in particular cleaned up as usual at the World Championships in Scotland. Ramona Dandl (Bruckmühl) won three more gold medals in men's and women's cycle ball and women's single artistic cycling.
On the previous days, German titles had already been won by seven-time world champion Lukas Kohl (Kirchehrenbach) in the men's single sculls, Serafin Schefold/Max Hanselmann (Öhringen) in the open class doubles and Selina Marquardt/Helen Vordermeier (Oberjesingen/Stuttgart) in the women's doubles.
The team from the German Cycling Federation also impressed in the trials, a type of skill-based riding. Nina Reichenbach (Bretten) won her sixth world championship gold in the women's open class. In the men's 26-inch class, Oliver Widmann from Ludwigsburg took second place behind Jack Carthy from Great Britain.
