Success at Sibiu Tour - Schachmann celebrates first victory in two years

Professional cyclist Maximilian Schachmann has celebrated his first victory in over two years on his way back to his old strength.

The Berlin rider won the third stage of the Sibiu Tour in Romania, a mountain finish in the winter sports resort of Paltinis. The 29-year-old celebrated his last success to date in June 2021 at the German Championships. After that, Schachmann was set back by illness and ended last season prematurely.
