Tadej Pogačar earned a lot of money in 2025. The Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has calculated how much the winner of the 2025 Tour de France is said to have raked in and provides the figures. According to the figures, the 27-year-old has benefited from his new contract with UAE Team Emirates - XRGwhich runs until 2030. The basic salary is said to have risen from six to eight million euros per season. An exit clause of 200 million euros emphasises his market value. According to the Gazzetta report, the team pays performance-related bonuses: one million euros for winning the Tour de France, 500,000 euros for winning the Giro d'Italia, 500,000 euros for winning the Vuelta a España and 250,000 euros for winning the world championship.
The victory bonuses in 2025 are said to have totalled €1.25 million from Tour de France and World Championship successes. In the previous year, Pogačar collected 1.75 million euros in bonuses with the triple crown of Giro, Tour and World Championship title. His other victories, including three monuments, did not trigger any additional bonuses, as the basic contract is already remunerated accordingly.
The agency A&J All Sports manages nine partnerships for Pogačar. With Colnago (racing bikes), Continental (tyres), Met (helmets) and Dmt (shoes). There is also Enervit for sports nutrition, Jana (mineral water), Plume for WLAN solutions and MyWhoosh for virtual training. Pogačar is also an ambassador for the Slovenian Tourist Board.
According to the report, sponsorship income reached two million euros in 2025. For 2026, negotiations are to be held with two new partners for an annual volume of one million euros each. This is expected to double sponsorship revenue to four million euros.
In 2025, the merchandising business generated Gazzetta dello Sport around one million euros in sales, twice as much as in the previous year. "Colnago" produced 300 limited edition Pogačar bikes for 17,000 euros each, which equates to total sales of over five million euros.
Pissei racing suits with Pogačar branding reach collector's prices: The Strade Bianche jersey was auctioned off for 30,000 euros. The proceeds from racing clothing go to the Tadej Pogačar Foundation. This funds cancer research in memory of the late mother of his partner Urška Žigart and supports an academy for young talent.
Following his fifth Tour of Lombardy victory, Pogačar organised a 23-kilometre event with 1189 amateur riders. There were VIP packages for 30 participants - for 5000 euros per person. This was followed in Ljubljana by a sponsor trip with 20 guests and a one-hour motivational speech. In mid-November, he will be the guest of honour at the Esports World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Tadej Pogačar's total income for 2025 is therefore expected to amount to twelve million euros from basic salary, bonuses, sponsorship and merchandising.
