The 25-year-old from Friedrichshafen crossed the finish line with the peloton on the third stage over 147.2 kilometres from Collonges-la-Rouge to Montignac-Lascaux and is now 55 seconds behind the Belgian overall leader Lotte Kopecky, who also gained six seconds thanks to the bonus seconds.
Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes secured the stage win in the sprint ahead of her compatriot Marianne Vos. Lippert had won the second stage the day before and secured the first German victory in the women's Tour de France, which was newly established in 2022.
Belgian rider Julie van de Velde was the tragic figure, having led the field for almost 60 kilometres before being overtaken on the home straight.
The second edition of the women's cycling tour started on Sunday in Clermont-Ferrand. Over eight stages, the Tour de France Femmes 2023 will lead through the south-west of France and finish next Sunday in Pau.
