The 8th and final stage of the Tour de Suisse 2025 takes the riders from Beckenried up to the Stockhütte above Emmetten. The short but extremely steep mountain time trial over 10.1 kilometres and 834 metres in altitude will decide the overall classification. With an average gradient of over 8 per cent, the route places the highest demands on the athletes.
Idyllic backdrop for the 8th stage
The start and finish of the final stage present themselves from their most beautiful side. Beckenried on Lake Lucerne proudly calls itself "The most beautiful village on the most beautiful lake". From there, the route heads up to Emmetten, which offers a perfect blend of alpine idyll and a wide range of leisure activities. The destination at the Stockhütte above Emmetten is a small paradise for families, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Decision in the overall classification
After seven stages, the steep climb to the Stockhütte will show who can win the Tour de Suisse 2025. The time gaps in the overall classification could shift significantly over the last few kilometres. Climbing specialists with good time trial skills are likely to have an advantage here. But mental strength will also play an important role when it comes to getting the best out of yourself after a week of hard racing kilometres. The winner of the Tour de Suisse 2025 will be crowned at the Stockhütte.
