Emma Hinze wurde deutsche Meisterin im Zeitfahren.

Emma Hinze from RSC Cottbus defended her title in the 500 metre time trial at the 136th German Track Cycling Championships in Cottbus.

The World Championship silver medallist and European champion clocked the fastest time of 34.022 seconds on the 333-metre concrete track on Friday and won ahead of her club and national team colleagues Lea Sophie Friedrich (34.321) and Pauline Grabosch (34.419). "It's cool to win here, especially as I had strong competition with Lea and Pauline. It shows me that I've trained well and am in good shape. The result gives me confidence," said Hinze.

In the men's team sprint, the title went to the Brandenburg track team with Nik Schröter, Maximilian Dörnbach and Anton Höhne. The trio beat the Thuringia sprint team in the final in 59.329 seconds. Lea Lin Teutenberg from Cologne took the gold medal in the women's points race. Moritz Malcharek (Frankfurter RC 90) came out on top in the men's elimination race. Moritz Augenstein from RSC Kempten won the men's scratch race.
