Vuelta exit for Arndt after positive corona test

Radprofi Nikias Arndt ist positiv auf das Coronavirus getestet worden.
The German professional cyclist Nikias Arndt did not start the eighth stage of the Tour of Spain this Saturday after a positive corona test.
As his team DSM announced, his British team-mate Mark Donovan, with whom Arndt shares a room, also tested positive for the virus and can no longer compete in this year's Vuelta. Both are doing well, showing minimal to no symptoms, it was added.
Saturday's stage leads over a good 153 kilometres from Laviana up to Collau Fancuaya. The 30-year-old Arndt was in 56th place in the overall standings before the day's stage.
