Hat in Glasgow das Finale erreicht: Bahnradfahrerin Franziska Brauße.

Defending champion Franziska Brauße has once again reached the final of the single pursuit on the track at the Cycling World Championships in Glasgow.

The 24-year-old clocked the second fastest time of 3:20.101 minutes in the 3000 metres qualifying race and will be battling Chloe Dygert for gold. However, the world record holder from the USA was 2.388 seconds faster than Brauße and is therefore the favourite going into the final run. Lisa Klein from Erfurt finished sixth in 3:25.728.

The German team sprinters Pauline Grabosch, Emma Hinze and Lea Sophie Friedrich are also on course for a medal with the second-fastest time in qualifying behind Great Britain (46.072) in 46.467 seconds. A further round will now be held to determine the teams from the top eight who will go through to the finals.
