Radsportlerin Franziska Brauße holte bei den Rad-Weltmeisterschaften in Glasgow Silber in der Einerverfolgung auf der Bahn.

Defending champion Franziska Brauße has won silver in the single pursuit on the track at the Cycling World Championships in Glasgow.

However, the 24-year-old from Eningen had no chance in the final over 3000 metres against the American world record holder Chloe Dygert, who even caught up with her German rival with a time of 3:17.926 minutes. For Brauße, who won Olympic gold with the team in Tokyo in 2021, it was her fourth individual World Championship medal in the single pursuit in a row.

Lisa Klein from Erfurt finished sixth in 3:25.728, Laura Süßemilch (3:31.278) was 14th, which gives hope for the team pursuit.
