World Cycling Championships: Dörnbach in fifth place in the 1000 metre time trial

Radsportler Maximilian Dörnbach muss weiter auf seine erste WM-Medaille warten.
German track bike sprinter Maximilian Dörnbach still has to wait for his first World Championship medal.
The 27-year-old finished fifth in the 1000 metre time trial at the World Championships in Glasgow. Dörnbach was four tenths of a second short of the bronze medal.
World Cycling Championships 2023: Hoogland wins the 1000 metre time trial
Dutchman Jeffrey Hoogland took the title for the fourth time, finishing in 58.222 seconds. Second and third place went to the Australians Matthew Glaetzer and Thomas Cornish. The German men are still waiting for a podium place in the track cycling competitions.
