TV rights secured until 2032: Fans can watch top races live for the long term
Cycling fans can breathe a sigh of relief: the EBU, A.S.O. and Unipublic have extended their media rights agreement until 2032. This means that the Tour de France, the Vuelta and numerous other top races will continue to be shown on Eurosport, HBO Max and other platforms for the long term.

There is some good long-term news for cycling fans: the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has extended its media rights agreement with Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) and Unipublic ahead of schedule until the end of 2032. This ensures that numerous top road cycling races will continue to be broadcast in the coming years.

From the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España to the classics Paris–Roubaix and Liège–Bastogne–Liège, fans will continue to be able to watch a wide range of the calendar’s most important races live. The agreement covers both men’s and women’s races, including the Tour de France Femmes and La Vuelta Femenina.

Live cycling coverage until at least 2032

For viewers, the contract extension means one thing above all else: certainty when it comes to planning. Thanks to the EBU’s member broadcasters, numerous races will continue to be shown on free-to-air television. At the same time, Eurosport has confirmed that it will also continue its broadcasts in the long term, thanks to a sub-licence from the EBU. This means the races will remain available on Eurosport, as well as on the streaming platforms HBO Max and, in the UK and Ireland, via TNT Sports.

Eurosport describes the agreement as an important step towards further expanding its role as the “Home of Cycling” in Europe. According to the broadcaster, its portfolio continues to include the season’s biggest stage races, spring classics and stage races. In addition to the Tour de France and the Vuelta, these include Paris–Nice, the Volta Catalunya, the ADAC Cyclassics Hamburg and the Ardennes classics. A full list of races is provided below.

For cycling fans, little will change for the time being – but that is probably the best news of all. Anyone who has been following the major races on Eurosport or via streaming services in recent years will be able to continue doing so in future. The early extension until 2032 ensures that the key moments in international road cycling will continue to be available on the same platforms for years to come.

The agreement covers the following races:

  • ADAC Hamburg Cyclassics
  • San Sebastián Classic
  • Eschborn–Frankfurt
  • Flèche Wallonne
  • Flèche Wallonne Women’s Race
  • La Vuelta a España
  • La Vuelta Femenina
  • Liège–Bastogne–Liège
  • Liège–Bastogne–Liège Women’s Race
  • Paris–Nice
