Verletzte sich bei seinem Sturz in München nur leicht: Pascal Ackermann.
Professional cyclist Pascal Ackermann does not have to worry about a longer break from racing. In his crash in the European Championship road race in Munich, the 28-year-old from the Palatinate only suffered minor injuries to his hand.

Ackermann speaks out on Instagram

"After an unexpected end to my race yesterday @munich2022 I can just say I was lucky.... I got a few stitches on my finger," Ackermann wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of his bandaged left hand with thumb up.

The professional from UAE Team Emirates, who went into the race as a German medal hope crashed around 45 kilometres before the finish line and hit his head with full force into a barrier fence. Phil Bauhaus was the best German and ultimately had to settle for 16th place.

Ackermann's start at the 77th Tour of Spain, which begins on Friday in Utrecht, the Netherlands, therefore does not appear to be jeopardised.
