After two consecutive days in yellow, Marianne Vos (Visma | Lease a Bike) lost the leader's jersey at the Tour de France Femmes 2025. The Dutchwoman, with 258 Successes the rider with the most professional victories in the history of cycling, finished the fifth stage from Chasseneuil-du-Poitou to Guéret 33 seconds behind stage winner Kimberley Pienaar (AG Insurance - Soudal) and thus had to concede the "Mailliot jaune" to the road champion from Mauritius.
Vos took on the longest section of this year's Tour Femmes on the new S5 from Cervélo. Although the aero bike has now been officially presented and is on the market, there is still a sticker from the cycling world federation on the seat tube declaring the Dutchwoman's bike to be a prototype. The eye-catcher is the one-piece cockpit with a "flow channel" on the stem.
After relying on a single drivetrain the day before, Vos opted for a 2x12 gear ratio (50/37, 10-36 t.) for the 5th stage with more than 2,000 metres of climbing. The 38-year-old also adapted the wheels to the hilly terrain. Instead of the fast aero version with 57/64 millimetre high carbon rims, a slightly flatter and therefore lighter set (42/49 millimetres) was included in the frame set. Like "team-mate" Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) at the men's Tour de France, Vos also uses the fast Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed in 29 millimetres.
