UAE Tour Women 2025 - the route at a glance

A slightly longer route and similar routes to the two previous years - that's the UAE Tour Women 2025. From 6 to 9 February 2025, the riders will compete in the desert tour in the Emirates.

The race kicks off in Dubai. The first stage starts at the Dubai Police Officer's Club, passes Deira, the Dubai Safari Park, the Al Qudra Cycle Track and Umm Suqeim and ends in Dubai Harbour at the gates of the Palm Jumeirah. The entire route runs along very wide straight roads. There are some very wide roundabouts. Anything other than a bunch sprint would be a big surprise.

Stage 2 | Friday, 7 February | Al Dhafra Fort - Al Mirfa | 111 kilometres

Stage 2 starts at Al Dhafra Fort in the desert and first leads to Madinat Zayed. After passing the town, the peloton continues through the desert for over 60 kilometres towards the coast and then arrives in Al Mirfa. It is possible that the wind will break up the peloton in the desert. At the end of the day, however, the sprinters should have the best cards again.

The classic mountain stage of the UAE Tour. In the first part, the route winds its way through Al Ain, passing many of its landmarks (Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, UAE University). The route then continues for a long time through the desert along the E30 road and finally leads back to Green Mubazzarah. This is where the final climb to Jebel Hafeet begins, which will be challenging for the riders with a length of 10 kilometres.

The final climb winds its way up through sweeping hairpin bends on a three-lane carriageway. The gradient is 8 to 9 per cent and reaches its maximum of 11 per cent 3 kilometres before the finish. There is also a very short descent on the last kilometre.

A stage around the city of Abu Dhabi. The start is at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Academy, and the first section leads towards Khalifa City and then on to Yas Marina. The riders then return to Abu Dhabi City and ride via Saadiyat Island, Al Maryah Island, Al Reem Island and Yifenah Island. They then pass through Qasr Al Hosn before the race ends at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater. The entire stage is flat as a plate and should end in a bunch sprint.
