The first, second, third and fourth places in the individual rankings for Demi Vollering, Lotte Kopecky, Marlen Reusser and Lorena Wiebes leave no room for any other result: Team SD Worx holds the top spot in the UCI world team rankings. With 19,571.25 points, SD Worx 2023 collected more than 10,000 points more than Lidl-Trek, which came second in the ranking.
Canyon//SRAM Racing is the best German team in third place, less than 100 points behind Lidl-Trek. The Americans only overtook manager Ronny Lauke's team in the last week before the deadline on 17 October. Katarzyna Niewiadoma and Chloe Dygert in particular scored points for Canyon//SRAM.
With Ceratizit - WNT Pro Cycling, a second German team also placed in the top 10 of the ranking. At the same time, Ceratizit is the best team in the classification without a WWT licence. The continental team left six World Teams behind. Marta Lach and Cedrine Kerbaol collected the most points.
Just as clearly as SD Worx dominated the team ranking, the Dutch dominated the nations ranking. With 15,245.23 points, Oranje collected roughly as many points as Italy and Belgium in second and third place combined.
Germany ended up in 9th place in the ranking, mainly thanks to the success of Liane Lippert. The 4126.95 points offer plenty of room for improvement. And in the relevant rankings, they secure three starting places in the 2024 Olympic road race in Paris. A maximum of four would be possible.
