The US component manufacturer Feedback Sports is expanding its range with two new tools for bike mechanics. With the Grip Whip cassette pick-up and the Modular T-Handle Kit, the company is presenting innovative solutions designed to make work in the bike workshop easier. Both tools are characterised by sophisticated functions and high-quality workmanship.
The Grip Whip cassette remover is a tool that has been specially developed for one-handed operation when removing bicycle cassettes. With an overall length of 31.1 centimetres, it is compact enough for mobile use, but still offers sufficient leverage for tight-fitting cassettes. The tool has an ergonomically shaped handle with a non-slip rubber surface to ensure a secure grip. A special feature of the Grip Whip is the thumb lever, which enables intuitive operation. Pressing the lever opens the gripping mechanism, which then closes automatically on the desired sprocket using a spring mechanism.
Feedback Sports emphasises the versatility of the Grip Whip. The tool is compatible with all standard cassettes from 5 to 13 gears, including the systems from Sram, Shimano and Campagnolo. The new Sram Transmission cassettes are also supported. The tool's gripper jaws should be able to securely grip sprockets from 10 to 24 teeth. For particularly tight-fitting cassettes, the Grip Whip offers an additional function: at the end of the handle there is an 8-millimetre socket into which an Allen key can be inserted to extend the lever and apply more force.
The second new tool in the Feedback Sports range is the Modular T-Handle Kit. This set consists of a total of ten colour-coded Allen and Torx keys, which are stored in a compact roll-up bag. The special feature of this set is its modularity: the crossbars of the T-handles can be removed, allowing the tools to be used as simple screwdrivers. This allows them to be used in tight areas of the bike where a classic T-handle might not have enough room.
The set includes seven Allen keys in sizes 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8/10 millimetres as well as three Torx keys in sizes T10, T25 and T30. The tools are made from high-quality steel and have precision CNC-milled heads. A special feature is the 3 and 5 millimetre Allen keys, which are tapered at one end so that they can also reach deep-set screws. Each spanner is equipped with a rotating sleeve to enable screws to be screwed in and out quickly.
