When it gets really cold, vests can help. TOUR tested the new vest from Ryzon. How does the Merino Longsleeve Baselayer perform?

The new long-sleeved vest (Merino Longsleeve Baselayer) from Ryzon's Ritual series is made from polypropylene with merino wool inserts. The odourless wool warms the chest, shoulders and underarms, while the stomach, back and arms are covered by the quick-drying synthetic fibre.

Our testers found the fibre mix to be very comfortable even during intensive training. The fit is normal and cut short at the front for the racing bike position. At a good 150 grams in size M, the Ryzon shirt is heavier than pure synthetic shirts. We were bothered by the 20 centimetre long zip, which pinches at the neck if you wear a jersey or jacket with a zip over it.
