On the 174-kilometre fourth stage, the Belgian reached the finish line from Soudal - Quick Step finished with the peloton at the Tour of the United Arab Emirates. The Colombian Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Team Emirates) took the day's victory in a bunch sprint in Dubai harbour by a wafer-thin margin ahead of Dutchman Olav Kooij (Jumbo-Visma) and the Australian Sam Welsford (Team DSM).
The best German in the overall standings remains Georg Steinhauser (EF Education EasyPost) in ninth place. On Wednesday, the young Belgian star Evenepoel had finished the third and longest stage of the Tour took the lead in the overall standings. The 23-year-old is seven seconds ahead of Australian Luke Plapp.
